Lemon Caper Sauce

Lemon Caper Sauce

  • 2 T Butter
  • 1 T Capers
  • A dash of white wine
  • 1 T fresh lemon juice

Wipe skillet clean with a paper towel. Melt butter in the pre-heated skillet, add capers and lightly sauté for about 1 minute or until butter is light brown. Add lemon juice and white wine. Spoon sauce over abalone steaks.

If you are not a fan of capers, Chanterelle mushrooms are a perfect match with abalone.

Optional Sauce

  • Sliced Chanterelle mushrooms
  • butter
  • minced garlic, just a touch

Wipe skillet clean with a paper towel. Melt butter in the pre-heated skillet, add sliced mushrooms and minced garlic. Sauté over medium heat. As the mushrooms cook, a rich brown gravy will form in the skillet. Season to taste.
